Eminem’s life from birth to the most famous rapper in the world.
Eminem aka Marshall Mathers was born in October 17, 1972, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He had a really hard childhood. His father left him when he was little, leaving Marshall alone with his mother Debbie Mathers. She wasn’t the perfect parent either, having lots of problems sticking to jobs leading to them being poor and changing places often.
Because they moved often Marshall had to change schools every time. “We would move two or three times a year”-he says, “Because of that i didn’t have a lot of friends and often got bullied at school.
After failing the ninth grade three times he left school at the age of 17. But still he had a large affinity with language and often liked reading comic books.
“I always was good at English … I just felt like I wanna be able to have all of these words at my disposal, in my vocabulary at all times whenever I need to pull ’em out. You know, somewhere, they’ll be stored, like, locked away.”
Through his talent in language he became a street rapper and joined N.W.A a gangster rap group from Los Angeles. There he often participated in rap battles from which 8 Mile was inspired at.
During this period he met Kim and in 1995 they had a daughter named Hailie. A year after inspired by his daughter Eminem made his first album named Infinite. But this album didn’t get a lot of attention, mostly being heard by the “neighborhood”.
A year after he met with Dr.Dre and worked together with him for two years in order to make the Slim Shady LP. This album was the turning point for Eminem which made him really famous.
A year after that on May 2000 Eminem Published The Marshall Mathers LP.
