Eminem dropped “Superman” back in 2002 as part of his mega-successful The Eminem Show LP. It’s all about how Slim was single, promiscuous and not so nice to women. You, for sure, don’t want to perform that song for your bride on your wedding day (or ever, really).

So, why would a groom pick this song to perform for his wife?
Well, a dude named Adam Naids, rocked his own version of the track for his bride, Elena, at their reception. He (wisely) opted to change the lyrics from “Superman” to “Husband-Man,” a remake all about their relationship and how much he loves her. You, for sure, want to do something like that on your wedding day.

Here are some of the song’s lyrics (and, of course, the bride’s reaction).

He professed his love.

“Too much love, between you and I/Need to be with you till the end of time.”

And his weirdness.

“I’m a weirdo and will be for life/ You still sure you wanna be my wife?”

His boys got extra excited.

“I love you so much, I’d give you my spleen/To think, this song used to be obscene.”

He guessed her response to this whole thing.

“First thing you say/ ‘Not okay, singin’ this song on our wedding day/ What in the world were you thinking anyway?'”

But this was her real reaction.

Peep the full performance.

Brandon Naids, the YouTube user who uploaded the vid, said the song has some background for the couple. Adam apparently once performed it for Elena’s b-day at a karaoke club. So, he decided to flip it as a surprise on their wedding day.

Oh, and in case you were wondering (or just want a reminder), here’s Eminem’s “Superman.”
